Based in Canterbury, New Zealand we distribute Brinsea incubators as well as supplying wire mesh and fencing, poultry feeders, drinkers and accessories. For children and adults alike hatching and raising your own chickens is a thrilling experience. No matter how many times you set the eggs in the incubator it never seems to lose the element of excitement that accompanied the first hatching. As you learn more and try different breeds, or even different species like ducks, geese, guinea fowl, quail or pheasants, a whole new world continues to open up before you.
The same is true for those who delve into the world of more exotic species, be it canaries and budgerigars, softbills, parrots or finches.
We know from experience that automatic egg turning is a must in an incubator. You wish that you had built the aviary with properly galvanized welded mesh rather than hexagonal chicken wire. You start to worry about things like ‘brooding temperature’, ‘candling’ and humidity.
We know what it’s like because we’ve been there, and we still are! and hopefully we will be able to advise and reassure you where necessary and help you avoid some of the pitfalls!
We have also developed good relationships with keepers and breeders around the country and overseas. Some of these breeders are listed on this website as reliable and knowledgeable people from whom to get eggs for incubation.
