The genius of the Brinsea Octogan incubators is in their simplicity. The cradle turns the whole incubation cabinet through 90 degrees every hour to turn the eggs. This has a couple of advantages - firstly, there are no moving parts in the incubator so if you forget to turn off the turning cradle there is no mechanism for newly hatched chicks to get caught up in.
