Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance EX Incubator with auto-turn cradle
This unit is the same as the Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance but includes the optional Advance Humidity Pump. This ensures accurate humidity control through the digital display - essential for valuable or hard to incubate eggs.
Building on the long term success of the Octagon incubators, Brinsea have pulled out all the stops with the Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance with auto-turn cradle and the addition of the humidity pump, together with the addition of special foam lined egg dividers to protect the eggs, brings the Octagon 20 Advance EX into a class of its own.
The standard Octagon 20 Advance provides a readout of incubation humidity but requires the user to alter humidity to achieve the ideal average level. The EX version with the Humidity Pump effectively maintains the humidity level precisely at the level the user sets irrespective of changes in room humidity and so overcomes problems that can commonly lead to eggs failing to hatch - especially in the latest stages of incubation.
The Humidity Pump includes an external water reservoir eliminating the chances of water in the incubator harbouring bacteria. The Humidity Pump module is designed to work seamlessly with the Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance and can be purchased later as an upgrade from Octagon 20 Advance to Octagon 20 Advance EX.
With an easy to use digital control panel the incubation environment can be monitored and controlled to suit whatever eggs you decide to hatch, be it chickens, geese and quail or parrots and peafowl. The removable egg tray is supplied with dividers that can be adjusted to fit a combination of different sized eggs. A guide detailing maximum numbers and some example combinations is also included.
The readout displays temperature and humidity levels to a very high level of accuracy and includes high and low temperature alarms and °C or °F display.
The air is circulated and diffused with a unique grill and high grade fan system ensuring very even temperature distribution.
The genius of the Octagon incubators is in their simplicity. The cradle rocks the whole incubation cabinet through 90 degrees every hour to turn the eggs. The incubation cabinet is injection moulded and, with the moving parts well out of the way in the separate cradle, remains both safe for hatching chicks and easy to keep spotlessly clean. The base is also double skinned and foam filled for better insulation (and therefore efficiency) and the top half is clear to allow maximum visibility of eggs and hatching chicks - great for the kids and, let’s face it, us!
