Brinsea High Intensity Ovaview Candling Lamp
Brinsea’s High Intensity Ovascope Candling lamp is a huge step forward in candling.
Battery operated for versatility, the lamp uses LED lighting so power consumption is greatly reduced, heat output is no longer such a concern, and the brightness of this High Intensity version is sufficient to give a clear view even of dark shelled and mottled eggs.
The High Intensity Ovaview also comes with an rubber adapter for viewing smaller eggs (for example quail eggs).
Really a fantastic step forward and significantly cheaper than the older model candlers as well!
You can also use it with Brinsea’s Ovascope to give the sort of view of developing embryos that you imagine in the laboratory rather than on the lifestyle block.
This is the High Intensity Ovaview. Also available is the standard Ovaview/Ovascope combo pack for a saving on the multi purchase, and the standard version of the Ovaview if you don’t need High Intensity lighting. Unfortunately the High Intensity version is not available in a combo pack with the Ovascope.

Brinsea Ovascope / Ovaview candling combo pack
This is the combination pack of both Brinsea’s Ovaview candling lamp and the Ovascope viewer.
Brinsea’s Ovascope Candling lamp is a huge step forward in candling.
Battery operated for versatility, the lamp uses LED lighting so power consumption is greatly reduced, heat output is no longer such a concern, and brightness is increased. Really a fantastic step forward and significantly cheaper than the older model candlers as well!
The addition of the Ovascope really gives the sort of facilities that you imagine in the laboratory rather than on the lifestyle block with amazing views of developing embryos.
The Ovaview candling lamp slots into the bottom of the Ovascope. there is then a compartment for you to put the egg to be candled. The unit then closes again, holding the egg inside. You then view the egg through the eye piece.
The Ovaview cuts out ambient light and slightly magnifies the image of the egg, giving you a far clearer view of what’s going on. The egg can be rotated from outside the Ovaview to view the egg from a range of angles.
The Ovaview can even be attached to a small camera or some computer webcams so you can record the image of the egg and developing embryo - particularly useful for schools etc.
You can purchase the Ovaview and Ovascope separately, and there is also a High intensity version of the Ovaview available.

Egg Lume High/Intensity/Cool Lume Candling Lamp Spare Bulbs
A very experienced chicken breeder bought a high intensity candler off me not long after the company started.
Despite my protests he insisted on buying a spare bulb with the candler.
For the money he spent I did see his point.
Without a bulb any candler is useless. Is it really worth not having a spare?
These bulbs fit both the Brinsea High Intensity candling lamp and the Brinsea Cool Lume candling lamp.
Price: $35.00
Standard Egg Candling Lamp
Suitable for candling pale shelled eggs, such as those of most species of chicken, duck etc.
Candling both ensures that infertile eggs and dead embryos can be removed and, by monitoring the size of the air space, humidity can be adjusted as necessary.
Plugs in to the mains. Spare bulbs are available (see below).
Where eggs have dark or mottled shells consider the High intensity candling lamp. However, should you be handling small or delicate eggs, then consider the Brinsea Cool-Lume candling lamp.

Incubation disinfectant concentrate
Dilute at 1:100 to ensure your incubators and hatchers are cleaned thoroughly between hatchings.
The warm, damp environment of incubators and hatchers is ideal for bacteria to multiply and bacterial infection is one of the main reasons for failure, particularly where embryos have partly developed in the shell.
This can either be used as a bath for some units, sponged on or even sprayed on and rinsed off.
Price: $12
Poultry Rings
Available in both 16mm and 18mm and a range of colours.
The 18mm rings are suitable for heavier breeds such as Orpingtons where as the 16mm will fit smaller breeds such as Brown Shavers.
Clip on rings rather than the spiral type. Strong and easy to fit.

Brinsea Octagon 40 to DX Spec Upgrade Kit
We only sell the Brinsea Octagon 40 DX incubators but, being so well made, there are quite a few of the older Octagon 40 incubators about.
This kit ensures you can upgrade the older model units to match the latest specifications.
Price: $95
Silicon tubing
Brinsea humidity modules all connect up to the incubator using this silicon tubing.
Although long lasting, it would be frustrating not to be able to use the unit just because the tubing had split.
